The water and wind cycle is driven by the solar energy. The solar energy evaporates the water from the water bodies like oceans, rivers, lakes, and ponds and from other sources of water.

The earth's surface absorbs the heat radiations from the solar energy and the air above the earth's surface get hotter due to absorption of heat.
